Thank you all so much who've been communicating with me, keeping me sane, keeping my wits about me.
That's it, I've decided considering I have no idea how much longer the sun will stay up today, and that... Thing, isn't around anymore, I'm taking my chances and I'm going to walk as far as I possibly can.
I'm powering everything down and I'll turn it on when I stop to rest... Let's hope it comes back on, eh?

Hope things are well with you. Good news! It seems as though a creature like the one you saw was spotted in Argentina, so the doorway, portal, time beam or whatever seems to work both ways. If only you can discover how it works! Good luck, be careful!
